Keep your own text out of the bottom band.
I burn short captions into my videos. At lunch, from my phone, I asked Claude whether they would land on top of YouTube’s own captions. It said yes: they share the same strip at the bottom of the frame, and the fix is to move mine to a top corner.
It was a re-render, so it cost nothing extra.
