Kling AI: why I left ElevenLabs video for Kling
Three pictures in, one shot out, and what it really costs.
I used to make my AI video clips inside ElevenLabs. Then I tried the higher-end models side by side, and Kling AI won. Here is the switch: why, what it costs, and what a real Kling session looks like when Claude runs it for me while I’m at lunch.
Kling Keyframes take a first, a middle and a last frame and make the shot. In my test, 81 credits bought a 6-second 1080p clip in under four minutes, and one clip cost about $1.06-$1.27 on Kling 4.0 against about $1.76 on Veo 3.1 (my own test, 2026-10-15).
Try it yourself
- Make your own Kling account (for me it wasn’t available inside ElevenLabs).
- Use Keyframes: give it a first, a middle and a last frame, and let it make the motion between them.
- Look at the cost before you approve, and compare clips in dollars, not credits.
- Check every clip frame by frame before you use it, and keep only the clean seconds.
